Thinking of children, SILON donated 150,000 CZK to Centrum KAŇKA.

Centrum KAŇKA, which provides complex care for children and youth with mental and combined handicap, has been supported by SILON for 10 years already. This year, the management decided to give 150 thousand Czech crowns to the organisation. The symbolic cheque was taken over last week by the director of Centrum KAŇKA Mgr. Irena Lintnerová from Dr. Bernhard Morawitz, CFO.

“We really appreciate the financial support from SILON; this long-term partnership has been very helpful to us. Especially now when we have lost our income from beneficial cultural events, which could not have been held and still cannot be planned for sure. Despite very thorough consideration of non-essential costs, we would like to continue with modifications of the premises of Centrum KAŇKA in order to get ready for the operation even in extreme conditions. This year, we would like to build an outdoor garden classroom – a wooden gazebo, so that we can divide classes if necessary, and teach some classes outdoors. Own funding is not always possible, so we really welcome the decision of the SILON´s management,” adds Irena Lintnerová.
