SILON opens a new production plant in the USA

In the middle of April, the management of the SILON Company ceremonially cut the tape at the newly opened SILON, LLC production plant in Peachtree City in the suburbs of Atlanta (Georgia, USA). The goal is to get closer to our customers in the USA and South America. The total amount invested will be up to 20 million dollars, whereas half of this amount was invested during the first phase. 20 jobs have been created here, mostly in production, management and engineering. The new plant will specialise in producing technical compounds, which will be sold to the automotive and construction industries. The production line’s current capacity is up to 7,000 tons of compounds per year. It is assumed that the capacity will increase to up to four production lines in oncoming years and that another 30 jobs will be created here by 2022.
